What does the calendar show?

Path Calendar

Appointments from your connected mailbox, linked to contacts and companies — with colour, participants and a link to the contact.

The benefit over the calendar in your email program lies precisely in this link: the appointment sits next to the contact’s history instead of separately from it.

Switch between “Month”, “Week” and “Day”; a new entry is created via “+ Appointment”.

How do I create an appointment?

“+ Appointment” opens the form.

It is quicker in the week view: click directly into an hour — the appointment takes over the time, and you do not have to type it in.

Which view is for what?

  • Month for the overview,
  • Week for planning,
  • Day for working through.

A practical tip: the week view shows 7:00 to 21:00. Anything outside that — early shifts, late appointments — you see in the day view. If an appointment seems to be missing in the week view, it was usually entered for 6:00.

Can I restore a deleted appointment?

Caution: A deleted appointment cannot be restored.

No. The bin icon asks once — after that the appointment is gone.

If in doubt, move rather than delete: an appointment that has been moved into the past bothers nobody and remains as a note.

Why can’t I see my Outlook appointments on the overview?

Because the sync has to be set up for that. The overview shows your appointments from the Aurora Hive Sales calendar; appointments from a connected Outlook or Google calendar only appear there if the sync is running.

Your administrator can see whether it is set up for your instance. Without it, the two calendars exist side by side without knowing about each other.

Do participants receive an invitation?

Participants of an appointment are recorded in Aurora Hive Sales so that it is clear who took part. Whether this turns into an invitation in the participants’ email program depends on whether and how the calendar sync is set up.

If in doubt, do not rely on it: for an appointment with external people, the invitation from your email program is the safe way.

What are the colours of the appointments for?

For telling them apart quickly in the month view — for example customer appointments versus internal meetings.

Agree once in the team which colour means what, and stick to it. A colour code that everyone uses differently is worse than none at all: it looks like information and is not.

What is the point of linking an appointment to a contact?

The appointment then appears in the contact’s history. That is the real strength compared with an ordinary calendar: before the next call, you see in one place that there was a meeting in March — without searching the calendar.

Make it a habit for everything to do with customers. For internal appointments, it achieves nothing.

Can I see my colleagues’ appointments?

The calendar is set up as a team calendar — appointments have participants, and the link to contacts and companies is visible to everyone.

Bear that in mind when making entries: what is in the title and note of an appointment is not a private note. Personal matters belong in your own calendar, not here.

Can I create a recurring appointment?

For regular meetings, the calendar in your email program is usually the better choice — it has series, invitations and cancellations with everything that goes with them.

The Aurora Hive Sales calendar plays to its strength with customer appointments, because they are attached to the contact. For the weekly team meeting, you do not need it.

How do I move an appointment?

Via “✏️ Edit” on the appointment. In the week view, you can also put it straight into its new place.

Moving is always preferable to deleting: deleting is final, the bin icon only asks once. An appointment that you move into the past bothers nobody and remains as a trace.

How do I quickly get back to today?

With the “Today” button. It sounds trivial, and it is the most sought-after button in any calendar once you have leafed a few months ahead.

The day’s appointments are also on your overview — for the morning glance, you do not even need to open the calendar.

Is your question not listed?

Try the search — it covers all chapters at once. And if something really is missing here, let us know: in the program at the bottom right via “Report a problem”.
