Signatures

Which profiles appear on the public website, in which order and with which label.

Separate product line. This area describes a separate product line of Aurora Hive Sales for staffing agencies. The areas described here are not part of the Start, Agency and Agency Plus plans. If you do not see them in your menu, they are not enabled for your installation — in that case this page is not the right one for you.

What does the Signatures area control?

Path Signatures

Which candidates appear on the public website, in which order and with which label.

This is the area of Aurora Hive Sales whose effect reaches furthest: what happens here is seen by strangers.

The line under the heading explains the whole operation: “Click a tile → editor”, the drop-downs change tier and availability, the arrows change the order.

What happens when I click LIVE?

Caution: There is no preview stage. A click on LIVE publishes on the internet immediately.

LIVE means live. The button on a tile really publishes the profile — immediately, on the internet, for everyone.

And further: changes to the label or availability become public immediately with the next click on “↑ LIVE”. There is no intermediate stage and no draft mode.

So check the content before you click — not afterwards.

How do I change the order of the profiles?

With ↑ and ↓ on the tiles.

This only works as long as the filter is set to “All” and the search is empty — otherwise the order would be ambiguous: what does “up” mean in a filtered list? That is why moving is locked in filtered views, and this is not an error.

What do “Recommended” and “Premium” do?

They highlight profiles on the website. You set both directly on the tile.

Next to it is the availability — it appears visibly on the website, with colour coding: green up to two months, amber up to four months, red from four months.

Bear in mind that this information ages: a profile with a red label tells visitors that nobody has checked here for a long time.

Which fields appear where on the website?

The mapping is fixed, and it has a peculiarity that causes confusion:

  • All roles appear as labels in the header area.
  • Figures banner, skills and projects are shown only for the default role.
  • Qualifications (languages, certificates, degrees) apply to the whole profile, not per role.
  • Profile picture appears in the header area; the hero image is the background image behind the name.

So if skills are missing on the website, they are usually maintained on a secondary role instead of on the default role.

What is the default role?

The role that sets the tone on the website. It is set via “⭐ Set as default”.

All other roles appear as labels but do not bring any content onto the page. That is the answer to the most common question in this area: “Why are my projects not on the page?”

What is “Deploy all” for?

Caution: “Deploy all” republishes all live profiles without confirmation. Including those someone is currently working on.

It republishes all live profiles one after another — without any further confirmation.

It is intended for the case where the website and Aurora Hive Sales have drifted apart: when an old version is on the page although it was corrected long ago in Aurora Hive Sales.

Do not use it as a habit. It is a repair tool, not a save button.

What happens if I delete a profile?

Caution: Deleting also removes the published files and the link to the candidate.

Aurora Hive Sales asks for confirmation and says what goes with it: the files on the web server and the link to the candidate are removed as well.

If a profile should only be hidden temporarily, deleting is the wrong way — take it off the website instead by no longer putting it live.

How do I write the introductory text?

Three to five sentences, from the provider’s perspective — not the candidate’s. That is also what it says in the field.

The difference matters in practice: “I bring twenty years of experience” reads wrongly on a placement page. “Mr X was responsible for twenty years…” fits the page it is on.

When writing, think of the reader: a customer with a problem, not an HR person with a pile of CVs.

Which images does a profile need?

Caution: A portrait photo on a public website needs the consent of the person shown.

Two, and they serve different purposes:

  • The profile picture appears in the header area — a portrait.
  • The hero image is the background image behind the name — a surface, not a subject with details, because text lies on top of it.

By default, the profile picture is called profile.png and is stored in the profile’s folder on the server.

Think of the rights: a portrait on a public page needs the consent of the person shown.

What are facts, skills and projects?

Three sections on the website, all of which are shown only for the default role:

  • Facts appear as a figures banner.
  • Skills are in the expandable area — one entry per line.
  • Projects and references are also in an expandable area of their own.

The restriction to the default role is the most common reason for the question why maintained content does not appear.

Where do languages, certificates and degrees appear?

In the Qualifications section — and for the whole profile, not per role. Whatever you enter there applies to the entire profile.

That is the difference from facts, skills and projects, which depend on the default role. If you wonder why a detail appears regardless of the role selection: that is why.

I have found an error on a published profile.

Correct it and click “↑ LIVE” again — the change is then public immediately, because there is no intermediate stage.

If several profiles are affected (for example after a renaming), “↑ Deploy all” is the right way; it republishes all live profiles one after another, without any further confirmation.

Afterwards, check the public page yourself — with a hard reload, otherwise your browser shows the old version.

Who should be allowed to put profiles live?

Few people, and by agreement. This area is the only one in Aurora Hive Sales in which a click makes something permanently public — without a draft, without an approval step, without confirmation.

Agree on two rules in the team: before going live, someone proofreads, and images and texts have been approved beforehand by the person concerned. Both cost five minutes and spare you the unpleasant kind of phone call.

Is your question not listed?

Try the search — it covers all chapters at once. And if something really is missing here, let us know: in the program at the bottom right via “Report a problem”.
