Profile optimisation
Tailoring a CV to a specific vacancy with AI. Versioned, with you as the final authority.

What does profile optimisation do?
It has Aurora Hive Sales sharpen a candidate profile in language and content — tailored to a specific job description.
You keep control of the final version: every optimisation goes into the history, nothing is overwritten, and nothing is sent until you trigger it.
How do I create a profile?
Choose the CV PDF, enter the name, “Create profile”. The profile is then available for selection at the top.
The quality of the result depends heavily on the quality of the imported PDF: a cleanly typeset CV is captured well, a scanned sheet or a multi-column layout much less so.
How do I tailor a profile to a vacancy?
Paste the job description — at least 20 characters — and click “✦ Optimise”. The AI tailors the CV to it.
Two practical tips:
- The more detail in the job description, the better the result. Feel free to paste the complete advert, not just the title.
- It takes up to 90 seconds. The program says so too; wait for it instead of clicking again.
Every version goes into the history.
What do I need to watch out for in the optimised profile?
Invented details. The model writes what fits the vacancy, and if something is missing, it tends to fill it in plausibly.
Check in particular: years, company names, project sizes, certificates, language skills. None of these may appear in the profile if they were not in the original CV.
This is not just a question of care: an embellished profile that goes to a customer will be noticed in the interview at the latest, and then it reflects on you, not on the software.
How do I send an optimised profile?
The sending wizard guides you through four steps: select the optimised profile, enter the recipient, write the mail, send.
“✉ Send now” really sends and does not ask again. The button stays locked until recipient, sender, subject and text are in place — the ⚠ notes tell you what is missing.
How are the recipient details recognised?
You simply paste in the text — in any format, for example a signature from an email — and an AI reads out the name, company, address and phone number.
Take a look before sending. An email address left empty is marked in orange; wrongly assigned names, on the other hand, are only noticed by reading.
Can I use a template for the covering email?
Yes — via “Use a template” in the “write the mail” step; alternatively you write free text.
The template contains the same placeholders as elsewhere, such as salutation and surname. Check in the preview whether they are filled — when sending individually, an empty salutation is particularly awkward, because the recipient knows the email went only to them.
What happens to the candidate’s data in the process?
The CV is transmitted to the AI service for processing — there is no other way to rewrite a text. This is processing of personal data with everything that goes with it.
In practice, this means:
- The person concerned should know about it. A candidate whose profile you pass on has an interest in learning that and how it is being processed.
- The AI service belongs in the list of sub-processors. It is included in the generated legal texts, provided the module is switched on.
What is the history good for?
Every version goes into the history — nothing is overwritten. This lets you compare which tailored versions there were and, if in doubt, go back to an earlier version.
This is particularly useful when the same candidate is proposed for several positions: you can see what you sent to whom.
Which CV file gives the best result?
A cleanly typeset PDF with selectable text — one in which you can highlight text in the viewer.
What works badly: scanned sheets (the text is an image there), multi-column layouts, CVs that consist mainly of tables, and files with watermarks across the text.
If the result looks incomplete, this is almost always the reason — not the model.
Can I tailor a profile for several vacancies?
Yes — every optimisation is a separate run with its own job description, and every version stays in the history.
Make sure you choose the right version when sending: the wizard starts with “select an optimised profile”, and that is exactly where the mistake happens that you only notice at the recipient’s end.
Can I send a profile anonymously?
Aurora Hive Sales does not generate an anonymised profile at the push of a button — whatever you want to change, you change yourself in the optimised version before sending.
If you regularly present candidates anonymously, it is worth preparing this in the original CV: a CV without a name and without clear employer names will still produce an anonymous version after optimisation.
What do I do after sending a profile?
Three steps that prevent the matter from disappearing:
- A note on the contact or on the vacancy: who was sent what.
- A follow-up in one week — profiles are rarely answered immediately.
- Check the candidate’s availability if you are proposing them elsewhere at the same time.
The sending itself is logged; what came of it is known only to whoever writes it down.
Is your question not listed?
Try the search — it covers all chapters at once. And if something really is missing here, let us know: in the program at the bottom right via “Report a problem”.
